Pickup hits school bus head on, police say driver was intoxicated | News

PORTLAND, Ore. - A driver faces DUII and reckless driving charges after police say he crossed a center line and hit a bus head on.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon in the 6800 block of North Willamette Boulevard.

No one on the bus was injured (there were three students and the driver on board) but the driver of the pickup was transported to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Duane Schuetze, 60, was charged with one count of DUII (alcohol) and one count of reckless driving.
