Wanted: Your opinion on tolling the new I-5 bridge

The I-5 Columbia River Crossing project is aimed at solving the traffic congestion problems between Portland and Vancouver.

Part of the funding for the project will come from tolls and the Tolling Study Committee would like to get input from the community.

For one night only, motorcycles on ice is a good thing

Tickets for a night of motorcycles on ice at Memorial Coliseum go on sale this Saturday.

Tickets for the 34th Annual World Championship Ice Racing Series can be purchased starting at 10 a.m. Saturday for the event that will take place Dec. 19.

Ticket prices are:

  • $40 (VIP front row)
  • $20 (VIP reserved)
  • $15 (general admission)
  • $10 (kids ages 2-12)

* Please note there is a $2 increase in prices if tickets are purchased the day of the show and that prices do not include service charges.

Air being tested at Harriet Tubman Middle School

The EPA is now monitoring several schools around the country to make sure the air is safe and one of them is Harriet Tubman Middle School

But some parents aren't too happy about that. Why? It's the way the schools were selected - some feel that certain schools are getting too much attention while others are left in the dust.
